Purdue Fort Wayne Men’s Basketball Team Narrowly Lose to Milwaukee

Purdue Fort Wayne men’s basketball team lost 94-96 tonight against Milwaukee. PFW had held the advantage up until seven minutes left in the game but once Milwaukee built a lead the Mastodons were not able to come back.

Despite losing PFW played very well tonight. They shot 55% from the field, 43% from three and 79% from the free throw line. Milwaukee shot 52% from the field, 42% from three and 68% from the line.

PFW’s Jarred Godfrey had a great performance tonight as he scored 21 points, collected six rebounds, dished five assists, rejected one shot and picked up two steals.

Milwaukee’s Kentrell Pullman led his team with 25 points, three rebounds and three assists.

PFW’s entire starting five scored in the double digits tonight. Bobby Planutis had 13, Damian Chong Qui had 13, Ra Kpedi totaled 11 and Deonte Billups finished with 18.

With the win Milwaukee moved to 19-10 on the season. They are 3rd in the Horizon League. Their next matchup is Saturday against Cleveland State.

With their los the Mastodons fall to to 16-14 on the season. They sit at 9th in the Horizon League. Their next matchup is Saturday at 5 p.m. against Green Bay. This is PFW’s last game before the Horzion League Championship Tournament.
