Purdue Fort Wayne men’s basketball team came away with a big win in their season finale tonight against Green Bay. PFW beat Green Bay 78-61.
PFW was in control the whole game as they took the first lead and held it for the rest of the game.
The Mastodons had a good shooting night as a team as they shot 50.9% from the field, 38.5% from three and 58.8% from the free throw line.
Green Bay did not shoot as well, as they shot 36.8% from the field, 27.3% from three and 71.4% from the line.
PFW’s Jarred Godfrey had a good night as he scored 29 points, grabbed five rebounds, dished one assist and totaled three steals.
Green Bay was led by Randy Tucker who had 19 points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal.
With the loss Green Bay ends the regular season with a 3-28 record. They end the season tied for the last spot in the Horizon League with a 2-18 record in conference play.
Green Bay will either play the 6th seeded team or the 7th seeded team in the Horizon League tournament on Tuesday. This depends on how IUPUI’s game ends tonight.
With the win PFW ends their regular season with a 17-14 record. They end the season with a 9-11 record in the conference. At this time they are tied for 8th in the Horizon League.
Right now it looks like they will play Detroit Mercy in the first round of the Horizon League tournament. At this time the seeding for the men’s tournament is not announced.
